01. The Challenge
Max Gaming had an internal design department servicing the business to business communication as well as services the marketing needs of its customers. The customers were pub, clubs and sporting venues that had gaming facilities.Â
They had a design manager, two designers and also outsourced extra work to an external company. The wanted to be able to cut costs and streamline the work to help with the profitability of the business and service the customers in a timely manner.
Creative Soldier was employed to do just that.
02. The Solution
The solution was to educate the staff on the briefing processes, managing client expectations and the design process. By doing this we were able to standardise the briefing process and get the staff happy to have a single point of contact that was managing everything for them. Next we created a suite of templates for the retail customers to cut down on custom designs and speed the process up.
We produced template designs annually for use across the customer base for all the usual promotional periods (Christmas, Easter, Footy etc). These gave the customers somethign to look at a choose from. The retail customers didn’t understand design or how to tell the staff what they wanted and were happy to pick from pre-made designs.
The clients not only loved the templates, it made our jobs so much easier.
03. The Result
All the previous staff and manager were not required to work on the brand an one person was able to complete all work in a quicker time than the previous three full-time staff memebers. Because of the reduction in time spent on retail design the Business to Business work didn’t suffer and was also not a problem to the single designer to complete.
